I just love the idea it introduced to the series since it can be viewed as the “bad end” for it.

The series introduces the concept of Conan/Shinichi failing in pursuing the Black Organization, in which he lived for almost 10 years already, and took the prototype antidotes for APTX4869 until he finally developed an immunity to it, implying he wasn’t able to go back to Shinichi ever again. — Which is rather confusing for me since if his current age is already the age when the old Shinichi drank the drug, then the drug he must take is useless… or was it not, if the “antidote” for the said drug is actually an aging drug. Right?

Hypothetically and relating it to the series itself, even I don’t think Conan still has the chance to go back into being Shinichi again because of the properties of the antidote that has been so far developed by Haibara. Then again, no one knows how Gosho Aoyama plans to finish the series.

Shinichi is… basically gone for good in this OVA. Then again, who would have cared except for Ran? This is a very sad ending for Ran if ever it’ll happen since it was implied in the ending that Ran decided that she’ll wait again for another 10 years just for Shinichi — which is rather impossible and futile if Conan would still continue in disguising as Shinichi in phone calls for YEARS without even seeing him, might as well Ran noticing that herself.

Of course, Shinichi himself is troubled by this that is was a pity seeing what he is now compared to Hattori which is a famous detective already and can be implied already engaged to Kazuha, as he saw it on a television interview. On the other hand, Ran is currently facing a dilemma wherein she is to decide whether she would accept Araide-Sensei’s proposal for marriage — which I said earlier, she decided to decline.

This might be a good call for Ayumi and Haibara since Ran would have accepted the fact that Conan is not Shinichi for all those years he chose not to tell what really happened because of the Organization. Telling Ran just now would just make it more complicated if ever Black Organization still exists.

Also, it was weird since Conan had lived as a freeloader ever since, I doubt Kogoro would ever drop the subject of Conan going back to his parents already after so many years of being a freeloader(and also for helping him in solving cases).

And—, I forgot to tell you that this was only Shinichi’s nightmare after taking another prototype antidote of Haibara which has a side effect if it was taken with a relatively high body temperature (since Conan got convenient colds for the drug testing).

The last scene of the nightmare was very sad… After Conan knew about the marriage proposal (thanks to Sonoko), Conan immediately searched for Ran and left to look for places that left an impression in their relationship since Sonoko mentioned Ran was still resolving her feelings in their place of memories. He tried visiting Tokyo Tower, Tropical Land and even in the hotel where Shinichi planned to confess his feelings to Ran . Out of desperation, he finally settled to go home when he saw Ran contemplating in the library of his house and saw Ran crying… And finally deciding that waiting for Shinichi for another ten years will be just fine…

Conan started being delirious because of what he had seen in his nightmare, such as imagining seeing the adult versions of the people around him. For the first time in his life, Shinichi admitted that he felt better right after he changed back to Conan and not when he turned into Shinichi. I sure hope this doesn’t get out of hand XD

DC MOVIE 1 – Time Bombed Skyscraper

The very first scene was about a related murder but I won’t discuss about it anymore. It is just about another murder where you’ll witness Kogoro’s idiocy and Conan’s brilliance. The only connection the murder would play in the main plot would be the place which is the Kurokawa residence. Please remember that place. The evidence needed to prove the murder was somewhat petty since the culprit stepped on a droplet of blood on the floor while committing the murder. Well then, please be careful next time you want to commit a crime.

The conventional part that takes place during DC movies would be the usual summary, introducing the people that knows Conan’s secret and introducing the gadgets.Also, it will always end thru Conan’s famous quotation which is “真実　わ　いつも　一つ” (There is always only one truth) – something like that.

Sadly, Haibara is still not present during Movie 1.

Dates are somewhat important in this movie so I’ll just add the date marks for the events.

The story will then continue at Prof. Agasa’s house wherein Conan is seen busy sorting the fan letters to be forwarded to his father. As Conan sort the letters, he felt rather dejected because there is no single letter for him which made him think Shinichi Kudo is already a forgotten name. As he blabber, he saw a letter addressed to him by this some person name Moriya Teiji. The letter contains an invitation to a tea party that will be held at Moriya Teiji’s house. As explained by Prof. Agasa in the movie, Moriya Teiji is a professor of architecture at Touto University and a prominent architect in Japan although it still appears puzzling why Moriya Teiji invited Shinichi to this party.

Of course, we all know Conan can’t come as Shinichi in the party so the next thing he did was to ask Ran to come for him to the party instead but as an exchange to an agreement with Ran which is, they would watch an all-night movie marathon together on the coming Saturday. Well, it is still impossible but Ran insisted that it must be next Saturday(May 3). Ran also asked Shinichi what color he likes between red and blue and so Shin answered red(since it was Ran’s favorite color). Their phone conversation ended when Kogoro asked Ran for the dinner so she was forced to drop the call without Shinichi rejecting the offer for May 3.

After the phone call ended, Conan was puzzled again why the movie thing should be on May 3 but as he think of what May 3′s importance really is, he met Inspector Megure along the way together with a new assigned officer. This new officer was introduced as Detective Shiratori and this was his first appearance before he became a regular cast on the series.

Conan went home right after that and asked Ran what’s with May 3 so Ran told Conan that May 4 is Shinichi’s birthday so she is planning to surprise him when May 3 hits midnight with a present(baaaw, that’s not a surprise anymore). Anyway, what a protagonist, he doesn’t even remember his own birthday. Also, Conan had a spooky expression when he found out that the movie they would watch is a chick-flick entitled “The Legend of the Red Thread”. Even so, Kogoro didn’t allow Ran’s idea because the movie was all-night, giving Kogoro the indecent idea. Ran just reasoned out that Shinichi forgets his own birthday every year so what she’s doing is just reminding him or else he’s getting older for nothing(I find this scene funny because Conan on the other hand said that he actually ironically became younger that year). To evade the topic, Ran changed it to Moriya Teiji’s party. Kogoro shortly agreed to go after some provocations from Conan.

And so, Kogoro, Ran and Conan all went together to the tea party and they finally met the man himself. Ran explained that they were asked to come on Shinichi’s behalf. As they enter the garden where the party is being held, they notice that people gathered were all celebrities. Okay, to summarize, Moriya Teiji asserted in one of the conversations that young artists these days have lost their artistic touch and so, they must take the responsibility for the ir own works. This is the problem when someone is a damn perfectionist. After this, Moriya Teiji conducted a trivial quiz among his guests where Conan won so he received the reward along with Ran which is a tour to Moriya Teiji’s special gallery.

As they enter the gallery, pictures of Moriya Teiji’s designed houses and other edifices were framed and attached to the wall although he is somewhat ashamed of his few works during his early 30′s.

The conversation that happened in the gallery will play a big part in the end so I’ll add it up here. Ran unintentionally told Moriya Teiji that she’ll be meeting with Shinichi on his birthday to go to watch the movie. She also mentioned that both of them like the color red(which is coincidentally the lucky color for the month of May). After Ran’s conversation with Moriya Teiji, Conan was reminded that he hasn’t consider anything yet about his birthday. Also, Ran added that the place they’ll be watching the movie would be in Beika City Building(precisely at Cinema 1 lobby May 3, 10pm).

- May 3rd -

Ran left the house in the afternoon to go and buy the supposedly surprise present for Shinichi as a present (red polo shirt). And so, Conan sought Prof. Agasa’s refuge for his problem about how to meet Ran(Conan even asked Prof. Agasa to make a robot Shinichi). Between the conversation. a flash news is being broadcasted in the television about a theft of large quantity of explosives particularly HMX or Octogen. Next on the news was a large fire at Kurokawa’s residence which is an arson case by the same culprit. As Prof. Agasa and Conan listen to the news, a phone call for Shinichi Kudo was answered by Prof. Agasa.

Well, not that surprising, the caller is actually said that he is the one that stole the explosives, in which case, he might also be the probable culprit for the subsequent arson cases. The perpetrator asked Shinichi his mobile phone number and so Shin was forced to give it to track the perpetrator. After this, Shin was ordered to take his phone with him and go to Greenbelt Park near Teimuzu River(wherever that is) because the perpetrator said he’s going to show Shin something interesting. The perpetrator even threatened Shin that if he doesn’t hurry, some children will die.

So, after the phone call, Conan hurriedly came to the park. The Shounen Tantei-dan is seen playing with a remote controlled plane. Conan saw them and asked what’s with the toy so Mitsuhiko told him that a man with a mustache and beard gave it to them and said that it is a “bomber” or so. When Conan asked for the controller, Genta(he annoys me a lot) said that he’s the one next in the turn so Conan should wait but Conan said that there is a bomb attached in the plane so Mitsuhiko and Genta panicked causing the controller to fall and break the antenna. Conan ordered them to run but the three ran to the wrong direction. As a result, Conan was forced to to use his powah shoes to kick the controller and hit the plane. *boom* It was an orange explosion so Conan inferred that it was a plastic explosive.

Right after that, the culprit called back to ask where is Kudo since the culprit saw just a kid from his lookout. Then again, he doesn’t care so the situation calls for another bomb that will explode at precisely 1:00 at Beika Station(15 minutes remaining). Conan asked for a hint because he said he’s just a kid so the culprit told him that the bomb is “under the tree”(not necessarily buried). Also, the culprit added that if Conan doesn’t hurry, someone might walk off with it.

Conan began the search through glancing the area where there are trees but there is nothing so what he did is to observe from a second floor of a fast food restaurant. He saw an old woman picking up a case under a bench which contains an abandoned cat and so, the old woman left, carrying the cat alongside with the case. As the old woman walk away, Conan was able to decode the hint given to him which is “under the tree” which is roots(“根っこ” – read as nekko), as we all know… “猫” (neko) – means cat… Conan tried chasing the old woman but she already rode on a taxi so Conan chased her through his skateboard(currently 4 minutes before 1:00) which died out too soon because it hit the ground just a while ago when he ran to the pedestrian while the light is green(please don’t try it!). Good thing there’s a convenient bicycle so he borrowed it for the mean time. Conan took a shortcut, cutting the distance between the taxi and the bike he is riding so he made past the taxi during the curved path. As soon as he blocked the taxi, Conan immediately went inside the taxi to get the case before it explodes. As he opens it, only 26s is left before it explodes although Conan is currently out of option where to detonate it. Surprisingly,  the countdown stopped during 16s so Conan hurriedly drove off to an empty lot and hopped from the bicycle before it exploded. Because of the explosion, Conan was thrown by the strong wind force until his head hit a near tree and became unconscious. Meanwhile in the shopping district, Ran finally was able to decide and choose the polo shirt she’s going to give to Shin.

Prior to the accident a little while ago, Conan is still unconscious in a hospital under the supervision of the district police alongside Kogoro, Prof. Agasa and the Shounen Tantei-dan. And then, Conan shortly woke up while having Kogoro wanting to do some rants and interrogation. Well, Conan’s situation is not that serious so he can be discharged already for tomorrow. As the doctor get out of the room, Inspector Megure(together with Shiratori), who is waiting outside during the whole time, promptly went inside to begin the investigation.

As Conan retell what had happened so far, he also added that the culprit is actually calling on Shinichi’s cellphone(cellphones are not allowed in hospitals, in Japan that is). Even so, Megure said that they are not on the main building so cellphones are allowed in there. Meanwhile, Kogoro is annoyed because Shinichi is so irresponsible for letting Conan do such a task for him. And, just as Conan had thought of, the plane and the case really has a trace of plastic explosive. The current thing being discussed right now would be why the hell did the timer stopped during the 16s interval. As deducted by the officers, the culprit must have a grudge against Shin and the timer malfunctioned/ has a remote controlled function.

Because the perpetrator uses a voice masking gadget, it was also inferred by Conan that the culprit is somehow acquainted to him. As the discussion progress, Prof. Agasa asked instead what case among the cases that Shin solved attracted the most attention. Megure told everybody that it was the case involving the ex-mayor of the Nishitama City(I won’t further expand). Because of this, the mayor was removed from his office and his plan to rebuild the city was postponed. It was a coincidence though that the son’s mayor might have done it since the son’s course was electronic engineering. Megure asked the Shounen Tantei-dan once again about any additional info about the perpetrator so Ayumi added that the culprit somehow smelled sweet. After that, Ayumi and the other left to go home.

Right after Shounen Tantei-dan left Conan’s room, the perpetrator called again… This time, it’s Kogoro’s time to show off since Conan is still in recovery state. The (5) bombs this time were planted in Touto Circular Railway. The hints were:

The bomb will explode after four o’clock if the trains run slower than 60 kilometer per hour.

If it was get rid of by sunset, it’ll explode.

So, the first things first, Megure called the train station about the situation. Meanwhile, call it lucky or unlucky, Ayumi and the others barely made it inside the train in their way home… Okay, okay action all the way. The train’s chief of operations ordered that all trains should run at 70km/h. All trains at the station should set off at once and there would be non-stop run until the bombs are found. The Shounen Tantei-dan is as of now, trapped inside the train.

Under the current circumstances, the trains are already non-stop running in more than 30 minutes so it is already getting a lot of attention from the media. Also, ruckus inside the trains had began piling up because of the freaking passengers. And so, finally solved the mystery with the help of Prof. Agasa’s idea about his solar skateboard. Conan immediately called Inspector Megure to reveal the location of the bombs which is — between the rails. The thing is, the bombs were set that if there is no light detected for certain number os seconds, it will detonate so as the trains pass by, it is obstructed so the thing to do would be to divert the trains into other rail track.

Okay, as the trains are being diverted into other tracks, the song “Kimi ga Ireba” is being played…And so passengers safely got off the 21 trains. And so, the bombs were also found as instructed by Shinichi(between the rails). Baaw,  it is still not the ending! The total as of yet of the used plastic explosives out of the stolen ones was just quarter! There are still 3/4s remaining T_T.

Because of the incident, Kogoro inferred that the perpetrator doesn’t live near the stations of the Touto Circular Line. In which case, Kogoro has reminded of the moment the timer stopped so he thought that the culprit lives near the area but no one was suspicious after the investigation. Meanwhile, Conan asked where particularly the bombs were found. Megure said that there was one on the top of a bridge on the Sumida Canal. Conveniently, it is currently being shown in the television so Conan remembered that he saw the picture in the special gallery of Moriya Teiji.

Now, now, things are getting more clearer since Conan also remembered that the places where the arson cases happened were also buildings designed by Moriya Teiji. Meanwhile, Ran finally finished shopping together with Sonoko and already preparing to go to Beika City Building… After the investigation about the arson cases(as recommended by Conan), Inspector Megure was surprised that they were all designed by the man himself(Moriya Teiji). And so, Kogoro concluded that the culprit must be someone that has a grudge against Moriya Teiji. As the party(composed of Kogoro, Conan, Megure and Shiratori) decided go to Moriya Teiji’s residence, they passed along the place where the timer stopped momentarily (which is a children park).

They’ve finally arrived to Moriya Teiji’s house. As each of the adults continue to converse with each other, Conan wandered inside the house to investigate(so, he went to Moriya Teiji’s gallery). Conan finally noticed the common denominator among the arson cases. Conan also discovered a small diorama of Moriya Teiji’s vision of new Nishitama City. Because of this, Conan finally understand why he’s the one being targeted by Moriya Teiji (Shin was the reason why the rebuilt of the city was postponed due to the mayor’s case he solved, leaving all his plans for the new city canceled.). As expected from the plan, all structures were perfectly symmetrical. Conan also noticed the lamp post design which resembles the one in the children park. Now, Conan went to Moriya Teiji’s study to look for evidences to prove the crime. He also noticed a lighter-like thing in the study. In the meantime, Megure, and the others are still discussing with each other about the possible culprit. So, the moment they stood up to leave, Conan called Megure and have them assemble in the gallery. Meanwhile, Moriya Teiji, made a stop over on his study room to pick up his lighter-like thing. After that, the four went to the gallery. As the four arrive in the gallery, Shin called Megure again for the deduction show part… okay, loudspeaker, hands free speaker please…

But then, Kogoro butt in and claimed that Shiratori was in fact the culprit (haha, anyway). Back to Shin. Shin finally said that the perpetrator was actually Moriya Teiji himself. As what Moriya Teiji himself said from the party, which is “Many young artists these days have lost their artistic touch! They must take the responsibility for their own works.” This statement explains why Moriya Teiji intentionally erases his past works during his early 30′s(well, please don’t ask how Shinichi knew that even though he wasn’t from the party). After that, Shinichi asked Inspector Megure to look at the houses that were burned and the bridge. It’s already mentioned many minutes ago already and it has something to do with symmetry. It was explained then that the challenge for Kudo was just to camouflage Moriya Teiji’s primary motive which is to erase his imperfect designs.

Now, for the evidence — Conan made some fabricated disguise parts of the bomber(made of the decorative hair of the helm from the study) so Moriya Teiji accidentally spilled that the true disguise attire was actually hidden his study. And then! Some gutsy action from the perpetrator. It turns out that the lighter-like thing from the study was actually the switch to detonate the bombs planted around the mansion. Conan is somewhat kill joy because he interrupted and said that it won’t explode since it has no batteries… Also, Moriya Teiji doesn’t use lighter to light his pipe… Also, as an addition, the sweet smell that Ayumi mentioned minutes ago was the smell from the pipe.

Haha, sadly, there is still one more building he wants to erase… and that would be.. tada! The Beika City Building where Ran is… And so, it was seconds before 10pm and explosions on the lobby occurred, just the right time when Ran arrived in the lobby. Meanwhile, Conan noticed some sheets of paper beneath Moriya Teiji’s clothing so he tackled Moriya Teiji and retrieved the blueprint of the bomb(conveniently). And so, Conan went and “gave it to Shinichi”. The explosions continued blocking the entrance and exits of the lobby. Conan, hurriedly entered the building to save Ran.

As Conan approached the lobby and called Ran through the local phone which is conveniently(again) still functional. Even so, the only possible door can’t be open because it was warped due to the explosions. And so, Conan ask whether Ran sees any suspicious object in the lobby (and so, Ran saw one and told Shinichi that it has a digital clock! (Oh come on, Ran! That’s obviously a bomb T_T) Shinichi warned Ran to be careful since it is in fact, a bomb. Anyway, Ran carelessly lifted it and didn’t exploded so there must be no vibration censor or anything like that…(42minutes remaining). So~ according to the pile bunkers, fifth floor which must be the floor where Ran and the big bomb is located, is so buried in rubble so it will be a lil while longer before they’ll reach it.

So, Conan asked whether Ran brought any scissors with her… Now, now, Rab has to disarm teh bomb herself…Okay, Ran continued to cut the wires one by one and but the last one which is the black wire but the countdown is still not stopping. There is also still 2 wires remaining. a blue one and a red one… And so, the bell rang.

- May 4 -

It’s already May 4! 3 minutes more before the bomb explodes… Ran unexpectedly said Happy Birthday to Shinichi… And so, Conan said to cut and choose any color she likes because they’ll be dead anyway if the time runs out. If it’s the wrong one, then they die together…

Then again, another explosion caused some debris to fall on the spot where both of them were staying… Also, that moment, the pile bunkers finally reached the 5th floor and thus, having Conan carried away by the rescue team.

Conan then remembers that Ran unintentionally said that their lucky colors for the month was red in front of Moriya Teiji so the probability that Ran would cut it is high. Although, the pile of rubble caused Conan’s sound not to reach Ran so it’s finally up to Ran alone what to cut between the two wires. And so, Ran finally decided what to cut and… the time has stop… Also, she cut the blue wire  in case you’d like to know.

Ran was finally rescued so she sought for Shinichi but the first person she saw was Conan. Conan said that Shinichi must have left already because of the ruckus.

Okay, for the last time, Conan asked(“care of Shinichi”) why did Ran cut the blue one? Ran answered that she didn’t want to cut it. After all, the red thread might be connected to Shin .

Ending credits~ ED “Happy Birthday”. hoho. Happy Birthday to Conan.

Episode 02 – The Company President’s Daughter Kidnapping Case

The episode started with two policemen having found Shinichi lying on the ground with a bleeding wound on his head. Shinichi was a bit pissed off when the policemen called him a li’l boy when he is already a high school student. Because of the conversation between the two policemen, Shinichi was able to remember that he was hit by a man in black.

The moment he tried to reach his head, he found it strange for his clothes to somewhat look like large for him. The more it became strange when the two policemen said that he is a primary school student. Given the circumstances, the two policemen continued reporting the current situation without knowing Shinich had already escaped from their proximity.

Meanwhile, Ran went home just to witness her drunk defective detective father. She was somewhat worried about Shinichi the way he left so she went out again to check him at his home. Poor Kogoro, he hasn’t eaten dinner yet.

For the meantime, Shinichi tried running away from the scene where he was found by the police but he immediately experienced fatigue probably due to the effects of the medicine he was forced to take. Consequently, he saw his reflection through a glass wall and was stupefied by what he had seen. His body had shrunk… (lame!)

Shinichi went to his house but he is rather short to reach the lock of his own house(haha, pathetic). This scene was followed by an explosion caused by Professor Agasa. On his first attempt, Shinichi tried acting as if nothing happened but Prof. Agasa didn’t believed what he said about the drug that shrink him so Prof. Agasa decided to drag him to the police station even though Shinichi tried telling facts that only him knows, specifically the mole on Prof. Agasa’s butt… Before Shinichi was drag to the police station, he demonstrated his deductive reasoning so that Prof. Agasa would believe that he really is Shinichi.

Having Prof. Agasa convinced by a mere reasoning, Shinichi went with Prof. Agasa inside his house to tell the whole story and also to find his primary school uniform… He also wants Prof. Agasa’s help regarding the antidote that could make him go back on his former self even though he just said a lil while ago that Prof. Agasa’s inventions were all junk. Of course, Shinichi is asking for the impossible since Prof. Agasa needs the prototype of the medicine. Therefore, Shinichi planned to make a comeback and catch those men in black so he could obtain the medicine he was forced to take so Prof. Agasa would be able to analyze its chemical composition to make an antidote out of it.

Professor Agasa had intervened and said that Shinichi must be extra careful since once these men in black finds out that he is still alive, they will hunt him down and this will put all those who are around him in danger. This includes Ran so Prof. Agasa insisted on having this as a secret just between the two of them.

Conveniently, Ran has already reached Shinichi’s house by that time so Shinichi had to hide somewhere inside. As a form of disguise, Shinichi wore his father’s eyeglasses but it has a diopter[1] which made him dizzy and it cause him to hit his head. He removed the lenses instead just before Ran confronts her. Ran found the chibi Shinichi cute so she cuddled him making Shinichi blush because he could feel her … . Prof. Agasa introduced Shinichi to Ran as a relative. Ran also asked his name so Shinichi panicked to think of something until he reached the edge of the shelves and saw the books authored by Edogawa Ranpo and Conan Doyle = Edogawa Conan.

Professor Agasa proposed that Conan live with Ran since she lives on a detective agency which could help him find the men in black. Chances are, it still needs approval from Kogoro.

Before arriving at Ran’s house, the two had a little chat about their crushes and Conan said that he doesn’t have such thing. Meanwhile, Ran unknowingly confessed her feelings to Shinichi by telling Conan that she really like Shinichi a lot ever since they were still kids. Conan, as expected, turned into a tomato after hearing the story.

As they arrive in front of the detective agency, Kogoro just had a phone call earlier regarding his FIRST case as a detective which involves a man in black as a primary suspect. Accordingly, Conan found his first clue so when Kogoro called a taxi Conan came along. Therefore, Ran also came along…

As Conan and Kogoro arrived in the house where the kidnapping case had happened, Conan immediately experience the inconvenience of being small since he can’t see the picture of the abducted daughter of the said client. Although Conan tried “helping” Kogoro by asking guide questions, he was treated as a nuisance.

—Prior to the crime scene—

Aso-san, the butler of the family was said to be the only witness of the crime so he was asked to give a clear story how the daughter was abducted.

According to his statement, the daughter was playing in the garden when a man in black suddenly jumped out from the corner of the garden and grabbed her. The culprit said, “Tell your master, if he wants his daughter back in one piece, he needs to shut down his company for a month! If he tries to contact the police, his daughter is as good as dead!”

After that, the culprit climbed up the pine tree and jumped over the fence to escape.

The only noise that was heard from the scene was… the shout of Aso-san which is: “The young Miss has been kidnapped!”

It was told after the narration that the culprit has phoned already the client regarding the ransom of three hundred-million dollars in old bank notes.

Although the first suspect would be the the rival company, it wasn’t implied that way since the culprit doesn’t want new notes, which shows he has a lot of confidence in his request of ransom. Conan did a lot of thinking while kicking a ball but he missed it. The moment Conan went to pick up the ball, a large dog suddenly jumped in front of Conan and he was almost turned into a minced meat. Just kidding, Conan was able to tame the dog immediately. According to the client, Jumbo, the dog, is not that friendly to people not within the household.

Therefore, following the train of thought, if the culprit used the pine tree to climbed out of the house, the dog would surely notice him and bark to the fullest. But according to the other maids, there no other noise heard.

Well, Aso-san is definitely the culprit here. But, when it already came into conclusion, there are still traces that are not connected with each other. As Aso-san tell his master the location of his daughter, a menace happened. It was another phone call by the “culprit”. To Kogoro’s dismay, since he thought he finally soved the case, the daughter still remains with criminal. The client was shocked when the culprit asked again whether the ransom is already ready.

It sounds like a more serious case this time. Akiko, the daughter was heard on the telephone where in she tried to deter the place where she is being held but she was put to silence after the call. The words that the child mutter on the phone was. There was a big chimney that can be seen on the window of a school’s storage room.

Conan immediately tried looking for possible locations through the map. Unbelievable as it may seem BUT Conan used Jumbo as his carriage in order to travel from school to school to find out the real location of the criminal. Meanwhile, Kogoro and Ran continued to pursue Conan and the dog.

Conan have traveled across schools that are near factories that have the said chimneys but the culprit is nowhere to be found. As Conan pondered what went wrong on his deduction, he saw a building that would strongly resemble the chimney if viewed straight from its thinner side. Conan then found the real location the daughter is being held. As things have progressed, the client have already prepared the ransom (in case) where the culprit told to leave it. Since the deal is already finished, the culprit decided to kill the daughter since she serves no use for him anymore. Right before the daughter is killed, Conan dashingly arrived in the storage room where the daughter is being held. Jumbo tackled the culprit. Conan was given the time to save the daughter. Jumbo tried his best to fend off the culprit but he was beaten. Conan tried fighting the culprit by kicking his face but his leg was caught and he was thrown to the pile of soccer balls. He even tried kicking the soccer balls targeted to the face of the culprit but it was futile since his kicking strength was drastically diminished when his body shrunk. As the soccer ball was blocked, the culprit quickly swung the baseball bat to Conan. Conan painfully rolled to the ground as he felt useless for the first time even though he was able to pin point the location of the culprit.

As Conan was ready to give up (because the culprit is about to hit his head), Ran came to rescue and blocked the attack. Ran demonstrated her karate skills by knocking out the culprit by punching him 5/6 times plus a kick. Good thing Ran saw Jumbo came out from the storage room. At last, the true culprit was caught.

It was actually the daughter that planned the kidnapping because she felt that the company was more important than her… Anyway…so much for forced drama XD.

And yes, the first kidnapping was a fake one. The true kidnapping happened after the first kidnapping took place…

Well, about Conan’s case having to live with Ran, Kogoro finally agreed because Conan acted as a lucky charm to his first case XD.

The next day, Conan was enrolled to primary school, again…

I think Detective Conan is lacking the attention in terms of the episode coverage since a lot of watchers are already fed up with it considering it has been running in nearly 13 years already. My plan is to cover all SUBBED episodes of Detective Conan and to compile Murder Tricks of the series as well. This is just experimental just as what the title says so I’ll be looking into this further more if this would fit my taste. Also, I’m lazy to put pictures. Episode 1 – Roller Coaster Murder Case

The OP sequence had a flashback of the 1st murder appearance of Shinichi. He is quite pretty bold for a newbie. Okay, I don’t know any of those deduction skills they’ve been talking about but the basic strategy used for the murder is attaching a rope to climb a veranda and kill the person inside the room where the culprit lured the victim into. The first case is pretty easy to predict since the probable culprit has been reduced to one.

Okay, a short gap for the night and Shinichi was awaken by Professor Agasa. He is creative in his own ways but almost all  his inventions are crap. Meanwhile, Kogoro and Ran is having problems with their expenses since business is in a slump ever since Kudo started his plight for being the “high school detective”. On the way to school, Ran was introduced to be a karate team captain. The conversation’s subject became Sherlock Holmes all of a sudden which was clearly based from the novel by Conan Doyle. Truly, Shin really has the capability to write as well novels about detectives since he has also the creative mind in solving cases BUT I think he lacks the skill of manipulation. He can only trace evidences but I don’t think he can think of a trick on his own unlike his father who is an author.

The conversation ended when Ran asked Shin out for he also promised last time. An unfortunate day to celebrate Ran’s victory in the karate tournament. I kind of giggled a little since the translation for Heisei during the episode’s time was still 90′s when it is already year 2009 prior to this day I’m writing this entry. Just how long will Conan keep on airing? A short skit was shown featuring a girl crying over something… Hmm… Another murder I suppose. It’s the turn of the annoying Shounen Tantei-dan. I really see Ayumi as the gutsy of all here since she already thought of some strategy on how to sneak inside the theme park! Mitsuhiko is still timid and Genta is so frail as ever.

While waiting on the line for the Mystery Coaster… The conversation continues about Sherlock Holmes. Shin demonstrated one of his “amazing” skills. That is, determining the occupation of a person thru a handshake. (This was based on the novel the Study in scarlet, the first encounter of Dr. Watson and Holmes) After some long explanation ~ they finally reached the line and rode the roller coaster but this stout man in black just had to attract some attention by shouting… In any case, he is yet to be significant for the latter part of the episode(and in the series itself). Shinichi seems to just love to talk about Holmes but Ran just reach the limit of her temper and forced Shin to shut up since she doesn’t give a damn to either Sherlock Holmes or Conan Doyle. After that, she stated a sarcastic remark which was meant to be a joke but Shin took it seriously lol. At last, the roller coaster just started to move…After some screams because of the ride, something along the ride just snapped. Also, before that happened, A water drop seems to have smeared to Shin’s face. Hmm??? The Shounen Tantei-dan to be were startled because they heard something stumble. Meanwhile, Ayumi happen to pick some rolling pearl beads. Shin at the same time was shocked because a murder has just been committed by someone. Of course, among the passengers is the culprit. Well, someone just died by being decapitated. Lots happened after the rise and the police came rushing over the crime scene.

—*Deduction Show part*—

The Men-in-black that are also passengers on the roller coaster but since they were caught up in the crime, they were delayed for their urgent business…

1st suspect: The girl beside the man who was decapitated. Of course, the idiot police officers would always came up with the not-so-obvious-incorrect-conclusion. Even though it is true that she had all the chances, I doubt it would be that shallow to have the culprit sit beside the victim since the true culprit wants that to frame someone~

2nd suspect: The girl Shin just hand shook a little while longer to demonstrate his -handshake skills for determining the occupation of somebody- She was proven to be a gymnast because of the blisters in his hand. Shin also noticed her bruises in tighs. Since she is a gymnast, maneuvers with regards to balance is a piece of cake. Well, Since the crime was commited  in along the roller coaster… You know what I’m thinking…

*Evidence 1*

A bloody knife was found in the 1st suspect’s bag and because of that, she was nearly judged as the true culprit. Meanwhile, Shin stated that knife won’t be able to decapitate a man’s head using bare strength.

*Trick 1*

To be able to escape from the safety bars in the roller coaster, one can put something thick behind his/her bag. During the ride, just pull it and slide through the extra space.

*Trick 2*

Use a rope and hook and tied them together. Secure your legs through the safety bars and put the hoop of the rope in the target’s head and then… just throw the hook somewhere along the rail to cling it. The head would obviously be decapitated because of the roller coaster’s speed…

*Trick 3*

You must be a trained gymnast to pull it off!~ Okay, don’t try this to kill someone just to prove that it is possible for those who are not gymnasts and I also didn’t tell that gymnasts can do it…. I guess everyone knows already who is the true culprit then….

*Evidence 2*

Shin stated that the crime would only be possible with the use of piano wire and some hook and at the same time, utilizing the momentum of the roller coaster. The hoop used for the crime would be the pearl necklace. Then attach them to whatsoever rope and hook and the set-up is finished. Aw, I don’t want the cliché explanation of the motive part XD…

Ran ended up crying along the way but Shin explained that it happens all the time so she should be used to it… Then, some stout guy in black suit who was on the roller coaster a moment ago appeared running across the screen… Shin decided to tail the man. Meanwhile, Ran tripped over the smooth surface and wasn’t able to stop him… Ran then had a premonition of not seeing Shinichi again right after he bid farewell… Some negotiation at the back of the theme park is going on between the stout man in black suit with a bald man who is a smuggler… After witnessing the deal~ Shin was knocked by the stout guy’s partner! Shin is such an idiot and that was the end for him lol. He was made to drink an untraceable poison by the men in black suit and then made their escape. shin then experienced some burning sensation inside his body… After he came to senses…His body was transformed into a middle schooler. lol. I don’t want to hear any side comments about that twist since that is clearly impossible in real science…

The chibi Shin then ran to Professor Agasa’s house to ask for help in order to restore his original body but Professor Agasa that it would only be possible if he would be able to obtain the original poison so he’ll be able to make an antidote out of it… Suddenly, Ran came over to see whether Shin already came home but what she witnessed was a chibi Shin. Shin then crawled to the border of the room only to cornered by Ran. Ran then ask his name and he conveniently saw the books of Conan Doyle and Rampo Edogawa along the shelves of the mystery novels. He came up of Edogawa Conan. Professor Agasa then proposed to let him stay at Ran’s house since it is a detective agency. This will help Shin track down once again the men who made him shrink into Conan…

Kaitou Kid and Conan always finish on a par whenever they face off each other. (Or should I say Conan always loses since he still haven’t caught him). Either way, I’m excited how things  will turn out with this kind of match. The infamous Lupin versus the err.. renowned? Conan… I don’t really think that the show just wanted to gather up audience for the sake of ratings because I always see Detective Conan weekly among the shows that has high ratings in Japan(when it was still on its timeslot together with Yatterman), based again from ANN.

Personally speaking, I don’t see the relevance of the show to the plot of the story so it doesn’t interest me too much at that level (compared to the latest chapters [as of today]). Anyway, I don’t know if the TV staff is trying to clutter up some fillers so it won’t catch up that too soon to the manga.

Lupin is of course also renowned by everyone since he is one of the earliest thief anime characters. Since he is known to be tricky, (or was it because the detective is just an idiot?) The fact that one will probably win the match excites me. The plot of the story though gives an utter fail twist since it involves… treasure? Ugh, anyway, I’ll watch it for the sake of finding out who’s better, that is if they’ll give a clear result of the match… Which has a low probability of course. *sigh*. Sure hope the trick in the show would be somehow realistic.(but wait, this is anime…)

This news has been known to everybody already since October but I can’t help it but be alarmed when I saw this remark about the movie in the Wikipedia. Anyway, Wikipedia is not that credible but it is also one of the most updated sites in the web.

Update!: The information in the wiki has been updated and the screen cap above is now not existing. It really maybe is just a rumor.
Well, I’m not saying we should believe this right away. I’m also not saying to everyone to be depressed about it. If this would be the last movie, chances are, Meitantei Conan must also be approaching as well its final chapters. If that’s so, then the most action-packed, awaited, exciting and blood-boiling Black Organization Arc draws very near. The true identity of the organization and as well as the leader may be disclosed prior to the upcoming chapters. This idea was also reinforced by the latest chapter of the (Spoiler!) manga (Spoiler!)

First of all, please don’t be excited since my basis is only the rumor about movie 13 being the last movie production. If that would truly happen(sad), then my assumptions are only likely to happen as well. The other reasons for the rumor about the movie might be because of the decline of new ideas or funds maybe but for sure, it won’t be a problem regarding the audience since Detective Conan has many viewers. Will Gosho Aoyama finally end his manga just like what Rumiko Takahashi did with her Inuyasha? Beats me.

Well, I have to admit that the episodes are boring at times because of same old tricks, predictable and insipid flow of events. I’m just keeping up with it as well because what I just want to watch are the tricks and how they are done. It also a nice brain teaser so I can say it’s a nice interactive anime if you do so think as well who the murderer is and how s/he did the crime.

My favorite episodes are always the episodes whenever the Shounen Tantei-dan is on action. Sadly, the fansubbers are disregarding these episodes because they could be treated as a filler to the main plot of the story, that is- the pursuit for the Black Organization. *sigh* I wish I could learn more japanese so that I won’t have to depend on the fansubs anymore. Anyway, I don’t know why they are skipping many episodes… Many download-ers, such as me, archives the files… If there would be some missing episodes… then that is horrible. I won’t be able to burn the next set/season for the anime. For the mean time, I won’t be downloading any files and watch it through streaming at this link.

Too much detective stuff and I might become a mystery geek like Shinichi. I’ve also been inspired by Detective Conan to read Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stuff. I had just bought the book(though it is Volume 2 so I still have to look for Volume 1) last week . I was actually planning to buy “Like a Flowing River” by Paulo Coelho but instinctively disturbed by the fact that I’ve just finished watching Detective Conan Movie 6: The Phantom of the Baker Street which has the setting of Victorian London.

I have watched already (through skipping) the whole Black Organization arcs(but not the whole series because of too much missing episodes…). Thanks for the DCTP because they are still working on it. Many fansubbing groups have already given up… If all quits, I’ll be forced to read the manga… Hope that DCTP would release the Movie 12 soon

I don’t know why Kaitou Kid has sooo many fans lol. I don’t actually like him. He’s more arrogant than Shin.
