— Temporal Vortex

Okay, I know that a lot of people has been bored already about what’s gonna to Meitantei Conan since it fell to the category of perpetual ongoing animes. Even so, I guess there are still lot of people that vehemently support the yearly Golden Week movies of Detective Conan. It is one of the widely known anime in the world since it’s been running for nearly 13 years yet the plot hasn’t been resolved yet. Because of that Gosho Aoyama, the author of Detective Conan, has already treated Shounen Sunday as his home.

This news has been known to everybody already since October but I can’t help it but be alarmed when I saw this remark about the movie in the Wikipedia. Anyway, Wikipedia is not that credible but it is also one of the most updated sites in the web.

Ahaha, looks like I have to admit that I got too carried away and decided to read the manga in advance to know the story. I really don’t know why such an interesting plot since 2002 just got animated later after 6 years.

Skip Beat! seemed to me as a cheezy shoujo anime when I first heard it. I tried searching it on the net and what I got was the picture of Kyoko with a seemingly BALLET dress so I quit the idea of reading it. I thought it has something to do with music and dance which is heavily implied on the title and the picture I saw years ago (specifically from the Wikipedia entry).

Okay, this time, I guess I underestimated an anime. Well, I think I’m glad I did that since I don’t want to be utterly disappointed from picking shows which I won’t like in the end. I thought Toradora is just your mediocre high school themed anime but I suppose not. Episode nine really changed my first impression about the anime and I’m glad that I pursued to watch it even though I felt like watching School Rumble.

Almost all the anime fans have been surprised by the announcement of the crunchyroll to regulate all the videos in the site and to halt accepting fansubbed anime episodes anymore. The impending date is said to be in January 15.

Crunchyroll have been introduced only to me by my classmate when I was still in high school. I was original downloading all the loads that I want to watch so I often have to watch out for feeds just to watch the anime earlier than usual. When Cruchyroll was introduced to me, I was able lessen my priorities to download and just watch out for the recent uploads so I’ll be able to maintain the free space of the hard disk. Crunchyroll is also a home for some of the extinct torrents already so I’m kind of sad since I think the videos would be wiped out and only the ones uploaded officially by FUNimation would only be the ones shown in the site. Considering they’ll be banning all the fansubs, I doubt Crunchyroll would still be useful for me because the uploaded videos of FUNimation also filters viewers from different continents.

I just don’t know what’s gonna happen to the future. Will Crunchyroll stick with the licensed materials? What will happen if Studio Pierrot decided to stop doing Naruto? Beats me. I just think Crunchyroll would soon look like a hall of advertisement for all Blue-ray DVDs, posters and other merchandise. I think the community won’t be the same anymore considering I’m quite fond of the forum topics there.
