Everyday of course our moms wouldn’t stopnagging us about anything every now and then. That is because they love us, their sons and daughters.
I find Atashin’chi a similar place of our home. Not that I’m saying that the Mama in the anime is the same with my mother. Its just that she sometimes makes a fuss about things that is very trivial.
At first, I thought about things like… Are they trying to portray mothers as someone stupid? Well, uhmm yeah, the character of Mama in Atashin’chi is kind of stupid but she is just very lovely. What they portray is just atypical household. I just love the ruckus that they make every show. I can’t help but laugh. Few months ago, I really don’t know what Atashin’chi is all about. What I just remembered was Crayon Shin-chan because of the art.
Since I’m watching a show during 4:00 pm, I often turn the television as early as 3:30 pm (time slot of Atashin’chi). I don’t know what Atashin’chi sounds like when it is on Japanese but I prefer the Tagalog dubbed because the silly thoughts won’t be incorporated if it’s just literally dubbed to Tagalog. I’m actually waiting for the Dubber’s Cut of the show since the voices are funny and the speed of speech is sort of fast. Just a coincidence that they really showed it. The dubbers’ voices are very cute. I’m very amazed with Mama’s dubber. It looks like as if it’s her natural accent. They are also allowed to meld some ad lib to have the script look more natural.
This kind of show is the type that varies among countries. You just can’t get the thought if it’s from Japan right? At least, if the scripts were adjusted to Filipino culture, viewers will understand it. Instances like this are the jokes that has something to do with word plays. There no way the ordinary Filipinos would understand that kind of “joke”.
Therefore, anime localizations have advantages as well. I can tell that its just effective to comedy genres since the jokes originated from Japan. To suit the viewers’ taste, then it should be adjusted to the culture of the country.

The first upgrade of Code Geass R2 was during the introduction of both new flying units, Guren Kashoushiki and Lancelot Conquista. Because the said series were already introduced, let’s discussed now the other/new Knightmare frames that was shown in the recent episode 11.
First of all, let me introduce the Britannian’s Knightmare frames, Tristan and Mordred.
Tristan is Zino’s Knightmare frame. It is the fastest aerial unit when it is on its jet mode(fortress mode). It can transform pretty fast to the Knightmare form itself. It is equipped with a double ended pole arm. Thus, it can perform mid-range damage to several enemies at a time. It can also launch two of its harkens and combine them to produce a beam that could match Shen Hu’s Baryon Cannon.

Mordred is piloted by Anya Earlstein. It is very massive compare to other Knightmares. It is also an aerial unit but it is pretty slow. Even though it is slow, It is very sturdy because of its shield. It can also shoot multiple hadron shots from its hips, arms, chest and legs to hit enemies around it. Its shield could stand against a tackle of two Akatsuki Jikisanshiyou. The strongest weapon of Mordred is its Stark Hadron Cannon. It is the shot that uses both of its hadron cannon shoulder pads and unleashes a radiation wave to the enemy. It is quite similar to the Guren’s radiation wave. I think it is quite stronger than the Guren’s shot. It is slower to activate though.

With the help of Lakshata’s team, they were able to upgrade several weapons and parts of the Knightmares. They were able to upgrade several systems such as the float system and it was made possible by Lakshata. The India also gave them enough support and assistance so that they would achieve the rebellion.
At the Black Knights’ side, there is also this new Zangetsu frame. It has the same system as Guren. It was made to be piloted by Toudou Kyoshiro. It replaced his former Gekka. It can produce a radiation shield by its chest. Its primary weapon is a sword which has a hilt that is a harken. It is said that it is just a float unit. It means that Zangetsu is originally a land unit but through the help of the float system, it can now do maneuvers on the sky. Hidden at its chest is a pair of machine guns. When I first saw Zangetsu, I remembered Reuben, an AGWS from Xenosaga.
Another frame is Shinkirou. It uses the Gawain’s druid system that enables it to automatically activate its shield whenever a projectile is detected. For that, it enables the Knightmare frame to have the so-called absolute protection. It is piloted by Lelouch himself. I think it is just a reinforcement frame. Even so, it has an attack where it launches a “prism-like crystal” followed by a beam shot. The “prism-like crystal” causes the beam to refract and hit multiple enemies at a time. It is the most versatile Knightmare frame in terms of terrain capability. It has a float system to enable flight. At the same time, it can transform into a submarine for Lelouch’s personal use so that he could go back and forth to China and Japan undetected.
There are also Akatsuki Jikisanshiyou(s). It uses a sword as a primary weapon. It has radiation wave missiles as well. It is piloted by Nagisa and Asahina, the two remaining allies of Toudou from Japan Liberation Front. C.C also has her own customized pink Akatsuki Jikisanshiyou. It is weak compared to the other single-unit frames because it is the next generation of Knightmare frames made for mass production.
The olive green colored Knightmare frames (the one that Tamaki pilots) are the plain Akatsukis. It is just a land unit but it can do decent damages. It is the present generation of mass production Knightmare frame.
There was also this Knightmare frame from the Chinese Federation called Shen Hu. It was said to be just at its 40% when it fought Guren Kashoushiki so it really is incredibly strong. Shen Hu was made at the same time with Guren though it was way too high-spec causing it to be delayed. Its Baryon Cannon can match the power of Guren’s radiation wave. It has a sword as well but it uses primarily the swirling pendulum on its arms (wrist harkens) to entangle, constrict and purge with electricity the enemies. It is an aerial unit as well like the others. It can also use the wrist harkens on its arms as a shield by swirling it at its maximum torque.

Ikaruga and Avalon are the mother ships of the Order of the Black Knights and the Britannia. Ikaruga possess a twin hadron cannon equipped at its both sides. It also has layer of shields for weak shot attempts. Avalon hasn’t show anything yet.
It’s been a while as well since the episodes got a bit puzzling and plot twisted. I hope they would continue such production unlike the other episodes that did not met my expectations because of the lack of significance of characters that is supposedly important. The mecha units are also slowly turning into Gundams! I hope not! And what’s sad? I haven’t seen Kallen lately because of that silly abduction! -_-

I’ve been playing this for the past 6 months I guess…
In terms of the playing hours, I’ve been playing this game for nearly 2 days. To be precise, I’ve been playing it for 40++ hours. It’s been a while since I planned to “finish” a RPG. The last RPG I remember I finished was FF Tactics so it’s really been a long time since then. Something(or was it someone?) motivated me to finish this RPG for this might be the last PS2 RPG that I might ever play. Too sad eh?
I don’t want spoilers so I won’t narrate too much detail when it comes to the story. The characters of Wild Arms 5 are well-developed. They really have the reason to join the party and defeat the radicals. The main plot of the story is how the party would be able to break the wall between the two races; Human and Verunis, which is one and the same before some time.
Dean Stark is the main protagonist, he is totally dense. He is obsessed with the idea of being a golem hunter and had Nightburn, the number one golem hunter, as his idol. He loves golems very much that he would dig everytime just to find a golem part. An incident changed his perspective and decided to travel with the others. He is very idealistic that most of the characters are annoyed. Even so, he is considered very influential to all his comrades.
Rebecca Streisand is Dean’s childhood friend who seems to have a crushon him. Knowing Dean, a totally dense person, she never dare to confess it even though she seems to exert effort so that Dean would realize. She plays the part of the narrator because she kept a diary since the start of their journey. She is also the coolest character for me for she can do acrobatic-shooting.
Avril Vent Fleur is the reason why the boring days of Dean and Rebecca progressed. She had a grand entrance from the sky alongside with a golem. Coincidentally, Dean and Rebecca is at the site where she landed. She woke up without any trace of her memories except the word “Johnny Appleseed” and the dual ARMs she carries which she gave to Dean. She was accompanied by Dean and Rebecca on a journey in order to regain her memories.
Chuck Preston was soon introduced but the last one to join the party. He is the golem apprentice that was mistaken to be the thief that stole the artifact from a town. With the help of Avril, he was saved from being hanged. He was resolved by the party to do something instead of watching each of his friends from his hometown to be taken away by the Verunis. He joined the party last.
Greg Russelberg is a renowned golem crusher and fugitive during this time. He had once a family that was murdered by a man with a golem’s arm. That was the day that he swore to destroy all the golems and kill that man in order to deliver his vengeance. He soon met Dean and the party. Dean was angry the fact that Greg is crushing golems but he believed that he is a good person. Greg somehow remembers his son whenever Dean is with him. He agreed to accompany the party believing that he will meet the person who killed his family once he join the party. He promised as well not to destroy golems to Dean during the journey.
Carol Anderson is the klutz but very reliable comrade of the party. Despite of being small, she is capable of defending herself just fine. She is also very knowledgeable to the things going around the Filgaia because she grew under the premises of Professor Elvis. She decided to search for her professor and went to a journey but met the party. Avril reminds her of the professor so she decided to go with them while also searching for her professor. She also considers Dean as her big brother. She is afraid of being alone again so she seek the company of others and she finally knew herself what to do since she met the party.
I don’t like to introduce the antagonists ^^.
I like the HEX system of the game. I wonder though how does one bullet hit multiple enemies in one HEX. Anyway, I also like the dual tech system because it reminds me of Chrono Trigger/Cross. My favorite Dual Tech is…

Trigger Rondo!~ Dean and Rebecca are very cool during the Dual Tech. It is also not so exaggerated unlike the other dual techs.
The story is kind of puzzling during the later part. I’m already at that part so I hope I could finish this game soon.
This is actually my first Wild Arms game so maybe I would try to play the rest as well.

I don’t know if I would be glad or sad about Inu Yasha’s ending. After all, they managed to defeat Naraku, I think. (I haven’t read the manga yet. I finished watching the series though.) I know it has been a pretty long journey before the boss was defeated. Isn’t it kind of sad? I guess there is no endless anime. Some things will really come to an end.
I liked Inu Yasha ever since I saw the series first on the television. I’m fond of the story so I managed to finished it. What I really liked in Inu Yasha was the journey itself. Their journey is very unpredictable. I also loved the characters for their tenacity to defeat Naraku. They never grew tired so I never grew tired of watching their adventures as well. I actually don’t know what happened to Kikyo in the ending. I hope she died peacefully and accepted that Inu Yasha has moved on already with their past relationship.
I think this is the longest anime I have finished watching (Regardless of Naruto and Bleach filler arcs) . It’s never boring because there is always something new. I also enjoy watching it because it is set to the Feudal Era. The folklores are sometimes involved so I learn something whenever I watch it. One thing I learned from Inu Yasha is the folklore of Princess Kaguya from the moon.
I hope Rumiko Takahashi gave it a good ending just like what she did on Maison Ikkoku. I’ll also wait for the next project!
.
Anyway, I love the series so I don’t mind if they continue it… Just a suggestion. The manga is already finished so I guess there won’t be any breaks anymore. The ending is very vague so a continuation would really save us from reading mangas.
Even so~ I’m also planning to read the manga now so later maties~
Just wanna share something: I drew a picture of Kagome when I was still a high schooler… I cherished it because it’s the best(I think so) I have drawn so far. It was tore apart by a classmate of mine and I got so frustrated. Hahaha~ I wish I could draw it again the same as I did before…

I don’t know if this is a bad or a good thing. Anyway, I like to give you the picture.
In the original Digimon Adventures 02 , meaning the Japanese, the people said that Hikari and Takeru ended up with each other because Taichi’s son called Takeru as Takeru-ojisan. This mean two things. Takeru married Hikari or the ojisan was just used to pertain Takeru’s old age. Therefore there was an open ending for their future here. Unlike…
In the english dubbed Digimon Adventures 02, Hikari and Takeru didn’t ended up because there wasn’t any suffice evidence just like how Taichi’s son called Takeru-ojisan.
I don’t know what really is the truth because I watched both!
This is what I’m trying to find out. Is Anime Localization a good or a bad thing. If consistency would be erased from the anime because of the wrong scripts or edits then the anime would be ruined. It will also affect the fans.
Tomorrow, the last episode of tagalized Digimon Adventures 02 would be aired. I’d like to know whether what idea they would push.
Update: I have finished watching it. Taichi’s son just called Takeru as Takeru…(Regardless of disrespect) Just what clue do you expect? No clues were given as well. I don’t know but maybe they do based it from the english dub. After all, Tailmon is called as Gatomon here. *sigh* To think I’m a fan of Takari… hahaha
Localizations also sometimes result into a sudden change in the tone of voice of some characters. Thus, the intention of the character is sometimes viewed different in the perspectives of the fans. I’m not saying that they should not do dubs…It’s just that they should do it the way the Japanese did it because the thought changes from place to place. After all, it really came from Japan… I can only name few animes with english dubs that has decent ones.
I hate Miaka’s voice from Fushigi. Miaka has a very childish voice in English. I like Inu Yasha’s english dub.
The themes are also sometimes edited. The opening is also replaced by the localized one (even if the translation is pretty rough). I think that my childhood is quite grateful to these localized opening themes. Although I really believe that the original ones are the better.(is there someone who knows the tagalog OP of rayearth? XD)
This post might be linked to what I posted about NHK ni Youkoso streamed at the crunchyroll just for them to advertise their DVDs. I don’t know if the anime english dubbing is really doing good. Anyway, if it is now, then good. Too sad though that it wasn’t before now.
I have to admit that animes that are being localized here in Philippines are not quite as well… You know… The only channel that does it is Hero TV. I just hate how they spell out the cheezy lines. The stresses on the names are also often wrong! I hate them for that.(e.g. Ne’gima is pronounced as Negi’ma) It sounds pretty harsh for someone who knows the right one. I don’t know if they do the research work. Because if they do? They must have at least a clue on what or how to do.
Maybe what they just thought of was the income because the anime is at its peak at that time. They just translated it and… sold it to make money.
Best regards to the dubbers and seiyuus~

I don’t know if the title is just redundant. I tried to search for the meaning of Ala Alba. Alba means “white”. In Celtic, Alba also refers to the whole country of Great Britain (Negi came from Whales). There was no certain meaning for Ala but the word Alaida means “winged”. Shiroki Tsubasa means “white wings” right? Anyway, my plead was heard(My post about the animes that need the season 2). I thought I will read the manga forever… I was expecting another season… Oh well, OVA is just ok… just too short for the whole arc though… I’m glad that they are progressing to what the manga is… Its good to see pactio again
.
I don’t know how Shaft will rewrite the script when the first Negima they’ve got had all the girls with pactio… The manga only has 7 girls I guess.
Nodoka has too many books than the true artifact… I wish it’s not a rubbish fabricated filler again XD . Glad to see the scene where Asuna easily thwarted Ayaka’s attack… That means… It was the night of the festival where Asuna and… Takamichi…. Haha… Spoiler XD. Oh, I forgot… it’s also Kotarou’s debut on TV. I also want to see Fate again. I want to see the action after they arrived in the other world… The trailer of Negima OVA is over here…
