World Destruction- or Not? EP 13[Final]

Okay guys, this is it. I finished World Destruction at last after all the spin-off and team rocket pursuit. It’s been a long journey and now I know the secret behind the Destruct Code. I don’t know if the story applies as well with the Michibikareshi one but I really think so that it is not.

World Destruction has been a very intriguing series for me right after I heard its news having the staff of some SquarEnix. I also stated in my first post that I was hoping it would not result into a garbage like the Chrono Trigger OVA - Nuumamonja. I had a great expectation of this anime because of that. Considering World Destruction did all the advertisement just to sell the game namely having a spin-off anime, a comic and of course the game all at the same time, the attention has never been focused to this anime because of its mediocrity as the others say. The game was interesting when I saw its trailer so I think the anime would be awesome as well. Well, unlike the avid anime watchers, I’ve only experienced watching one anime that is an adaptation of a RPG and that is Final Fantasy Unlimited which I see as something not so great compared to the very game itself. I believe many watchers based their expectation to the other anime-rpg projects because — Yeah, I admit it as well, there is no RPG anime adaptation that is successful yet in garnering the the expected high ratings as compared to the game

Maybe I haven’t posted any episode reviews yet about the anime but I’d say episode 12 is the only story developer of all the episodes. I heard many viewers dropped the show or almost, just like kanzeon because they found the protagonist worthless. After watching episode 13, I’m afraid they have to rethink what they’ve just said about him. I also used to talk about the mystery of the Destruct Code on my previous post. I’ve been observing it and I always find the episode irrelevant with the activation of the Destruct Code. Well, episode 13 reveals the purpose of the Black Orb and explains why the Destruct Code lit only once ever on the show. Well, if you guys want the spoilers then I have no choice but to tell it. The Black Orb, which Morte mistook as the Destruct Code is actually just a key for the activation of the true Destruct Code. The Black Orb serves as the key in which the Destruct Code will grant the wish of what the beholder wants to happen. As for Morte, she wanted World Destruction. Thus, the Destruct Code will grant it. Morte’s wish has been accepted the moment the Black Orb glowed with all that green light, and numerous eyes. - This explains the reason why it only glowed once while Kyrie is around.

I’ve also found Kyrie’s memory flashback about Morte and Reiben weird. It’s as if he had seen it on his own eyes. As for Reiben’s relation with Kyrie, Reiben claimed that he find the Destruct Code before he died. He actually did, and it was— Kyrie. Episode 12 shows a preview about Kyrie’s past memory having a pinkish hair. It was actually his true appearance as the Destruct Code. The Black Orb also originally belongs to him and serve as his memory for the past years he had lived as the Destruct Code. I don’t exactly know the reason why he became the blonde Kyrie when he touched the Black Orb.

I was astonished by Kyrie’s power because it almost looked like Ultima 4. The difference though is- the one who’s gonna touch it will become sand.

The ending is not soo expected for my perception having Morte and Kyrie paired up as a couple XD… I guess Naja and Lia never became an official World Destruction Committee member as well but they became part of the good guys in the end. Conveniently, Agan is there again just for the transportation services. Toppi is still the badass of the anime and tried to look cool at the end of the show - kuma.

And that’s it! If I were to watch this anime. I only recommend to what 5 episodes out of 13. I can’t pin point the episode numbers but that’s how the anime goes. They should have done an OVA instead, no? They should have gotten a higher ratings if only they didn’t include some junks in the anime.

Final Thoughts—

It’s a spin-off and I realized a little bit late so I was kind of disappointed during some of the episodes. I only became interested right on the ep. 12 because the mysteries are about to be disclosed eventually… If I have to rate this anime, then it’s 7/10. It’s not so good than you’re Code Geass but I think it is a good comic relief anime even though the title is very misleading that it is something so gallant.

I really hope that the game has a better plot development than this anime.

I watched the raw streamed but I’m confident that about 70% of what I heard is correct and I understand. I’ll post some caps later.

Lucky☆Star! OVA

Aside from normal shows, I’m also expecting this OVA! I’m a huge fan of Kagami so I wanna see her again.

Well, the story really focuses on the four girls but it is kind of sad because the other 6 where set aside on the OVA. Yutaka and others had an extremely limited appearance in the anime.

The MMORPG part of the OVA rocks! It makes me nostalgic of my experiences when I was also once a newbie. Tsukasa reminded me of myself when I tried to play Ragnarok the first time. I didn’t know how to sit. Thus, I’m waiting idle long enough just to replenish my hp XD. lulz. I also had a hard time picking on enemies. I remember getting on the map on the north of Prontera, the forest of Mandragoras and died there. I was shokku  T_T and stared at my character lying on the ground. By the way, what a coincidence~ I also used to be a Healer! Go Kagamin~.

Hahaha, Argh, I miss playing MMORPGs sooo much if only I had the time on my hands (and of course the money to buy the game cards) … Wah, I hate this… I miss my game account and I don’t know if it is still existing. I have already forgotten as well the joy of playing together with your classmates and playmates… huhuhu

Tsukasa made my day. She was really funny. I almost died of laughter when she slammed her face to the net. I can’t help it but laugh at her idiocy. The atmosphere is really serious during the game and I– I… burst out my laugh when it happened XD. It’s definitely the best part of the OVA.

In space, you can hear everything.

I really didn’t watched any of the Macross until I came across this one. I decided to watch this because Omni-senpai seems to like it and Sheryl caught my attention. As I, together with my brother, downloaded the subs of Aone-Gekkostate-Menclave, we waited… and waited until they released the episode 5 but we didn’t control our patience anymore because nothing is coming out anymore and dig in with gg’s. We actually tried to watch it first at crunchyroll but it became more and more crappy because it was too late until we realized that the subs were Babelfish~ed. Lol XD

Yay for Macross Frontier. It was a great ending. I’ve been envy to Omni-senpai ever since Friday because he was able to immediately watch it XD. It took me today just to watch it because the release just came yesterday.

I don’t know what happened to Sheryl when her “natural hair” turned into a brownish one. But one thing I’m sure is Sheryl won’t die anymore from the V-Virus because the virus itself have been gone to her womb as well just like Ranka’s. The new earth is just so fabulous with all those scale-like rings.

I really really like the episode because it featured almost all of Macross songs. The song is also sync with the battle so it is very fun to watch with all that Northen Star and Lion XD. sugoi sugoi sugoi. The ending is just epic. Ai-kun also became a fabulous glowing firefly across the galaxy although I’m not so impressed because its ugly XD. I was also confused when Brera said to aim for the head when he also said that they communicate through abdomen. I don’t get the logic — Shouldn’t Alto shoot the abdomen instead of the head??? Oh Wahtever, as long as Grace died >:)

I don’t see any purpose for the barrier around the islands to be still around. It is also kind of stupid to land on the water when the land is so vast XD.

I’m expecting a lot on the movie!!! Haha, I guess they didn’t make the story tragic in order to make the Macross series still perpetual. I really thought they’ll kill someone just like the other mecha shows such as Code Geass and Gundam XP (or to sum up = Sunrise)

Happy ending ~ The ending though is an open ending XD. I don’t care anymore who ends up together… I’m happy that they were all able to survive all. Too bad Michael is the only one who died…

I really appreciate this show. Maybe it is a sequel to the robot stuff I didn’t care less when I was still a child but it is superb. Maybe what made its ratings low is it’s sci-fi concept. I actually intended to make an entry entitled “How the hell sound travel across the space?” but decided not to. The Vajra plot is also confusing because I heard my brother said that it seems every Macross series have a specific “species villain” that they have to defeat in order for humans to continue their existence in the Macross’ universe. Therefore, having Vajras is not so surprising.

If Earth would be destroyed and humans were able to find such a pretty planet such as this, I’ll really really reset my life into nourishing mother earth. It would be a waste if the second chance you were given to would also be taken for granted. I hope the same applies to the people in the Macross’ universe. (daydreaming mode) - But I’m serious XD

See you next deculture~! XD

It won’t be a secret anymore.

Okay, I’ve finished Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu.

Well if there would be a vague part for this anime, then that would be the “supposed” love triangle among Yuuto, Haruka and Shiina. It would have been more fun if there would a battle royale for Shiina and Haruka to claim who is rightful for Yuuto. Besides that, well I guess the story is great because it depicts the condescending view towards otakus by the society.

I really don’t know if I’m an otaku or what but I keep on telling myself not to indulge too much. Maybe I’m afraid of the truth or maybe it really isn’t the truth.

Anyway, it must have been a great anime if it could have been more realistic especially Haruka’s lifestyle. The maids particularly are fabulous in the show… The show is also very moe that I can’t help it but go out the room for some moments…The best part for me in the episode is Yuuto’s recognition by Haruka’s father. Nobody knows if there is still a sequel for the anime but the first part already is a good one. Still, if the author wants to mess with it and make some yen then maybe he could widen the universe of the anime.

I really think this show would be appreciated by many otakus out there — shouting at the T.V that normal people should watch this show. Well for me, I don’t recommend it for normal people because it is somehow ecchi. If people watch this anime, chances are- they might detest otakus even more.

I’d love to see a sequel to this anime but at the same time, I don’t know what would happen to the original plot(hiding the secret) if Yuuto and Haruka continues to go to Akihabara often, it would really be not a secret anymore.

“Television is an Idiot Box?”

Well for some reason, I got offended by this phrase. I actually originally heard it from my professor in English and what we were talking about was Reading Strategies. The notes were avoid the following: 1.) Being a passive reader, 2.) The television habit, 3.) The untouched book habit and 4.) The highlighter habit. Well obviously, I’ll try to talk about no. 2, the television habit.

I am really really wondering why the hell my teacher called the television an idiot box so I tried raising a question out of my curiousity or maybe you could call it stupidity. I said, “Ma’am what about watching television but also reading subtitles at the same time, you also do critical thinking right?” — Well, expect the answer of the close-minded people, of course they’ll deny the fact that television is also an educational gadget, of course to those who utilize its extent. I’m actually watching subs so the question is really relevant to my situation. My teacher bluntly said that it doesn’t matter if there is subtitles because television offers you all from thinking to imagination so that causes you not to think at all and there was I mumbling — Are you saying I don’t learn something from watching slice of life and drama genre animes!??! I was so frustrated and kind of ashamed because my classmates laughed at my question, suggesting that it was a foolish question. I really really don’t believe to this phrase because I own an anime blog just to discuss what I have watched. Doesn’t that mean I think and I interact with what I have watched? Bloggers also do some evaluation of the episodes and often of the whole series and sometimes even retrospection.

Well I’m just suggesting here that watching animes with subtitles or even the ones without doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t think while watching or think what’s with the plot. What do they think of viewers? Idiots? Of course all anime watchers have tastes on what animes they should watch and that already depicts that television is not merely an idiot box but could also be an appliance for you think what’s best for you to watch and feed your mind.

I became so upset because the topic today was graphic organizers which tells that readers could even more understand what the article/ selection says if it is illustrated or represented through symbols and drawings — which I really think could be connected to animes. If graphic organizers work for critical thinkers, doesn’t that mean anime does? Because animes are practically visualized and set into motion pictures that are found in a book. Does critical thinkers suggest that they prefer graphic organizers such as flow charts when you could turn that flow chart into series of events that even portray the characters on it??? It is very absurd.

Maybe this teacher of mine is just a reaal nerd that she doesn’t even have the time to watch television programs. As for that, I intend to turn this into an essay in her subject so maybe she could realize a little bit. (Well, I’m not pretty sure If I have the guts to do it.)

You there reading this post, Do you agree that watching animes doesn’t really require critical thinking anymore? Me? I don’t think so. After all, I did this blog.
